Easy Pad Thai

A very quick and easy pad thai recipe that wont take up too much time to make. A great cuisine full of flavour, with its sweet and sour combination.

Easy Pad Thai

Servings: 2-4 Time: 20 minutes Source: adapted from the spruce

  • 1/2 lime, juice
  • 4 tbsp fish sauce
  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted peanuts, crushed or chopped
  • 1 cup tofu, firm
  • 1 cup chicken or shrimp (optional if vegetarian)
  • 6 green onions, sliced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil, or peanut oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups bean sprouts
  • 1 box wide rice noodles


Place the noodles in a large bowl with boiling water. Soak for 10 minutes, rinse, drain and set aside.

In a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat, add oil, tofu, chicken and cook for 3-5 minutes. Add onions, green onions, garlic and cook for 3 minutes, stirring.

Add noodles to the wok or skillet, add the fish sauce, sugar, and lime juice over top, stir until combined.

In a small bowl whisk the eggs and add to the skillet. Add peanuts, bean sprouts and mix well.

Garnish with lime wedge, bean sprouts, peanuts, green onions.
